How Kronos works
The reserve, the brokerage around it, and where the money goes.
The hub and its spokes
Everything that holds value lives on Robinhood Chain, the hub: the treasury, staking, bonds, the Prime Account engine and the dividend contracts. KRONOS and wsKRONOS can travel to Ethereum, Avalanche, Base, BNB Chain and Solana over LayerZero, but the one supply ledger stays on the hub.
The flow of value
- 1Bonds fill the treasury
Buyers pay USDG for KRONOS at a discount to market but never below backing. The USDG goes into reserves, so backing per token rises.
- 2The treasury puts reserves to work
Part of the USDG sits in a Morpho USDG vault. The treasury never lends its own backing to Prime Accounts.
- 3Stakers earn the harvest
While the market pays a premium over backing, new sKRONOS is minted every 8 hours, bounded by the excess reserves.
- 4Borrowers pay fees
Prime Accounts borrow USDG from outside lenders. Interest, bond spreads and Arena rake are split: 70% to stakers as USDG, 30% kept by the treasury.
Three tokens
| Token | What it is | Use it to |
|---|---|---|
| KRONOS | The reserve token. Liquid. | Bond, trade, bridge, stake |
| sKRONOS | Staked KRONOS. The balance grows at every harvest. | Earn the rebase and the dividend |
| wsKRONOS | Wrapped sKRONOS. Fixed balance, rising value. | Post as collateral, bridge, hold in DeFi |
